Kung Fu
Kung Fu (Gong Fu) - exceptional skill developed through hard work over time.
A beginner can walk into our school and feel supported and those with some experience will find a place to challenge themselves. We are all beginners at least once, the journey is long and winding. For many of us the hardest part of beginning a martial arts journey is learning the fundamental movements.
We suggest that you try one class for free. If you like the classes, buy a 10 week term (20 classes). Adults $300 and Children $230.
The Laoshi and seniors will support you. The Laoshi will send you videos for you to practice and learn from at home. This allows you to easily rewind and rewatch focussing on the different parts. When you learn the basics at home, the Laoshi can help you polish the forms and practice the martial functions in class. See below for examples of the videos we'll send.

Lineage
We share a direct line to Song Shan Shaolin Temple in China - the birthplace of Chan Buddhism and the cradle of Kung Fu. Song Shan Shaolin is the origin of martial arts as a holistic practice. It has served as such a crucible for the development of martial arts that some consider that all martial arts come from Shaolin. Our work is not a modern fusion of cobbled together practices but rather a complete and deep classical artform. It has a rich history that extends over 1500 years all the way back to Da Mo!Head Instructor - Ling Dao AcademyLaoshi (Teacher) Leigh PriceKung Fu, Qi Gong and Reiki Laoshi Leigh began serious study of Temple based martial arts and energetic practices in 2009 after becoming a student of Mountain Gate Academy run by 32nd generation Shaolin disciple Jason Parks. Curriculum
Kung Fu Curriculum
The Shaolin temple has a rich history of over 1500 years. During that time many styles of kung fu were developed and refined by masters who built systems based on real combat and clearly defined principles. These classically trained masters were well schooled in medicine, Buddhist philosophy and martial techniques. We practise classical forms that are unlike modern patterns. Each form is a complete style that serve as a vehicle for personal growth, power and protection. The styles and forms of kung fu that we practice are a synergistic combination of the three known as Chan Wu Yi.At Ling Dao Academy we are privileged with knowledge of classical forms and associated practices that stem directly from The Shaolin Temple. Our forms are genuine treasures that are far superior to much of what is commonly seen on the internet today. Our curriculum is a pathway to a world class black sash and beyond. It includes the following:
◦ Classical Shaolin Temple forms
◦ Realistic and usable self defence
◦ Holistic strength and fitness
◦ Qi Gong
◦ Meditation and philosophy
◦ Animal styles
◦ Weapons and more
